In short... get the building tag at security, park at visitor's parking, enter the building (middle tower) with the tag, go to the 14th floor and get the keys on the lockbox on the door. The code for the lockbox is 1133.
The address and Google Map are at the bottom.
We hope you have the most incredible time at Ember! 🔥
Disa Park has two wonderful pools - one for adults and one for children. Go to ground 0 and you'll find the way down to them. There are toilets on site, as well as complimentary loungers.
There is a tennis court on site. Go to ground 0 and find your way down. The court is first-come, first-serve, and it's usually available. You'll need to bring your own rackets & balls.
The squash court is near the entrance, just above the security hut. It's first-come, first-serve, and it's usually available. You'll need to bring your own rackets & balls.
There is a very basic gym by the squash court. It's nothing fancy, but you can manage a sweat. There are toilets there as well.
Hiking is 5* here, and it's from your front door!
Go out the front door (level 2), turn left and walk to the third tower where you'll see a path going up right in front of the tower entrance. Take it and you'll find a horizontal path about 20 metres up. From here, go left and follow the path. You can do a loop (left, up, right and down) that takes you about 1 hour. Ask locals walking around - everyone here knows the paths.
To go right, walk towards the first tower and squash courts and join the path by the braai area that goes right towards Deer Park.
You're in hiking heaven. To learn more about Table Mountain National Park, and see other hiking routes, please download the TMNP Visitor's Map below.
The space is small so the small table folds down. You can eat here by using the bench by the door, and the round small table (feel free to use a cushion on top). Oh, and we have some lovely table mats and serviettes for you under the oven.
It's Vredehoek. It's Cape Town. It's windy. Please make sure to close ALL windows when you leave, and to be mindful of open windows when it's very windy - they do fly off from time to time, and we don't want that now, do we? If you need air on a windy day, then the top windows are safe to open.
There are battery-operated lights in the bathroom and elsewhere. We kindly ask you switch them off when not in use to preserve battery life. Thank you!
There is a pull down screen which serves as your TV. Be kind to it and do not open it if the room is windy. The remote for the projector is on the headboard. Please do not move the projector, and do not adjust any of the settings - it's the best it can be right now. Don't make us get angry at you.
Ember is filled with thoughtfully chosen, custom pieces, all cared for and checked after each stay. If anything breaks, stops working, or isn’t quite as you found it, please just let us know — we appreciate the honesty.
There is a fully stocked minibar - feel free to take what you'd like and note it on the price list hanging at the entrance of the kitchen. If you booked via Airbnb, we will request payment within 3 days of your check-out. Otherwise, you can EFT to the banking details noted on the list.
