I'm Feeling...

This board explores 24 character strengths that help us love, learn, lead, and live well.

The games below are designed to spark meaningful conversations, deepen understanding, and help you see yourselves — and each other — in a new light.

There are no right answers. Follow your curiosity, take your time, and enjoy the conversation.

Game 1: Read My Heart

Choose an emotion from the wheel that you think your partner is feeling right now.

Once you've both chosen, share:

  • Which emotion you picked
  • Why you chose it
  • What clues led you there

Your partner then reveals:

  • How close were you?
  • What emotion are they actually feeling right now?

Bonus:
Can you both find a word on the wheel that feels even more accurate? Take turns.

Game 2: The Emotion Time Machine

Each person chooses:

  • One emotion they felt often as a child
  • One emotion they feel often today
  • One emotion they wish they felt more often

For each emotion, tell a story or share a memory that helps explain why you chose it.

Bonus Reflections:

What changed between then and now?

What experiences, people, decisions, or moments helped shape the emotional journey from your childhood to today?

Take turns.

Game 3: The Relationship Wheel

Together, choose:

  • One emotion your relationship creates often
  • One emotion you'd like to experience more often together
  • One emotion you're proud you've learned to navigate together

For each emotion, discuss:

  • Why did we choose this one?
  • When do we tend to feel it?
  • What brings it out?

Finish these two sentences:

We'd love more...

And less...

Game 4: The Forbidden Emotion

Choose an emotion that you find difficult to admit feeling. Don't overthink it. Pick the first one that feels a little uncomfortable.

Then answer:

  • When do I tend to feel this?
  • What usually triggers it?
  • What do I wish people understood about this emotion?

Take turns.

Game 5: Emotion Charades

One person secretly chooses an emotion from the wheel.

Without using any words, act it out.

Your partner must identify the exact emotion on the wheel.

The more specific the emotion, the more fun the game becomes.

Take turns.

Game 6: The Last Time...

One person points to any emotion on the wheel.

The other person answers:

Tell me about the last time you felt this.

Share the story. Then switch roles.

There are no wrong answers, and no need to explain or justify your emotions. Just tell the story.

Keep going for as long as you're enjoying it.

"Courage isn't having the right emotions. It's sharing the real ones."
